Odoo pricing: licenses, hosting and real yearly cost

Odoo pricing comes as two separate bills. The first is the license, paid to Odoo SA: free for a single app, €24.90 per user per month on the Standard plan and €44.90 on the Custom plan (euro prices on odoo.com, billed yearly, checked on October 26, 2026). The second pays for hosting. It is included on Odoo Online, billed separately on Odoo.sh, and paid to someone else if you run Odoo on your own server or on a hosting platform. A realistic yearly budget adds both, plus operations and version upgrades.

Odoo pricing per user on each plan#

The Odoo pricing page (nouvel onglet) lists three plans. Odoo adjusts prices and currency to the buyer's country, so check the page from your own location; the figures below are the euro prices it displayed on October 26, 2026.

Plan Billed yearly, per user per month Billed monthly, per user per month Where it can run
One App Free €0 €0 Odoo Online
Standard €24.90 (€19.90 in year one) €31.10 (€24.90 in year one) Odoo Online
Custom €44.90 (€35.90 in year one) €56.90 (€44.90 in year one) Odoo Online, Odoo.sh, on-premise (yearly billing)

One App Free gives one app to unlimited users. Standard includes every app, on Odoo Online only. Custom adds Studio, agentic AI, multi-company and the external API, and it is the only plan that allows Odoo.sh or hosting outside Odoo SA.

There is also a Light User at €7.90: an account limited to employee self-service such as time off, expenses, attendance and point of sale. Portal users, such as your customers, are free.

Note

The year-one prices are discounts. They last 12 months and only apply to the users in the initial order. Budget year two at full price.

Odoo Community, the open source edition, has no license fee. It lacks the Enterprise-only apps such as Studio, and Odoo Online does not host it.

Renewals and old versions raise the bill#

Two clauses in the Odoo Enterprise Subscription Agreement (nouvel onglet) change what you pay after year one.

At renewal, if you paid less than the current list price, your price rises by up to 7% per year (section 5.2).

The second clause costs more. The agreement only covers the three most recent major versions, which today means Odoo 18, 19 and 20. Once a year, and no earlier than six months after a new major release, a database still on an older version pays an extra 25% of the annualized price of its users (section 5.1). Odoo 20 shipped in September 2026, so an Odoo 17 database falls under this rule from March 2027.

That fee comes with extended support. Under Odoo's support policy (nouvel onglet), versions in extended support no longer get security updates. You pay more for a less protected database.

What hosting costs on each option#

Hosting is the line the odoo.com price table leaves out. Only Odoo Online includes it.

Option License needed What you pay on top Custom modules
Odoo Online Free, Standard or Custom Nothing: hosting and up to 100 GB of storage included No (Studio only)
Odoo.sh Custom Workers, staging environments, storage Yes
Your own server Custom, or Community with no license Server, backups, monitoring and operations time Yes
Hosting platform Custom, or Community with no license Resources consumed Yes

Diagram: what you pay Odoo SA (license) and what you pay elsewhere (hosting, operations) for each of the four options

The calculator on the Odoo.sh pricing page (nouvel onglet) uses these unit prices: €60 ($72) per worker per month, €15 ($18) per staging environment, €0.20 ($0.25) per GB of storage, with 20% off for yearly billing. Shared hosting stops at 16 workers and 512 GB. Beyond that, dedicated hosting starts at €500 ($600) per month.

On your own server, the provider's invoice is only part of the cost. Backups of the database and filestore, monitoring, security patches and version upgrades are your job. A hosting platform bills resources while you run the instance yourself. Ofleet, for example, charges about €63.36 per CPU per month, about €22.69 per GiB of RAM per month and about €0.20 per GiB of stored files per month, metered hourly; the full table is on the Ofleet rates page. Our guide to Odoo hosting options compares the four options on more than price. For sizing the machine itself, see Odoo server requirements.

Operating costs no price table shows#

Database upgrades are part of the subscription: upgrade.odoo.com (nouvel onglet) migrates your standard data. It does not migrate your custom modules. Porting them to the new version is development work, billed by your Odoo partner or done by your own team.

On Odoo Online, custom modules covered by Odoo are billed monthly per 100 lines of code (section 5.1 of the agreement), at a rate agreed in writing when you subscribe.

Outside Odoo Online, also count the time spent on:

  • testing backup restores, with the database and filestore together;
  • following security advisories and applying patches;
  • preparing a test database on the next version every year;
  • watching workers, memory and database size.

None of this shows up on an Odoo SA invoice. It costs engineering hours. On Ofleet, the console handles part of it: scheduled backups and cloning an instance for acceptance testing.

Worked example for 10 and 30 users#

The table adds up public prices checked on October 26, 2026, billed yearly, without year-one discounts and before any sales tax or VAT. Sizing follows the rule in Odoo's deployment documentation (nouvel onglet): (CPU count × 2) + 1 workers, about 6 concurrent users per worker.

Yearly cost 10 users 30 users
Standard license (Odoo Online, hosting included) €2,988 €8,964
Custom license €5,388 €16,164
Odoo.sh: 2 then 4 workers, 1 staging, 10 then 30 GB €1,315.20 €2,505.60
Ofleet: 0.5 CPU and 1 GiB, then 1 CPU and 2 GiB, plus a test instance running 176 hours a month €793.66 €1,526.20
Fee for a non-covered version (25% of Custom) €1,347 €4,041

Diagram: yearly budget for 10 users across four scenarios, with license and hosting shown separately

For 10 users, that gives four yearly budgets:

  1. Odoo Online on Standard: €2,988, all in, no custom modules.
  2. Odoo Enterprise on Odoo.sh: €5,388 + €1,315.20 = €6,703.20.
  3. Odoo Enterprise on a platform such as Ofleet: €5,388 + €793.66 = €6,181.66.
  4. Odoo Community on the same platform: €793.66, without the Enterprise apps.

An Odoo.sh worker is not the same thing as an Ofleet CPU, so these figures do not compare performance. They show orders of magnitude. In every Enterprise scenario, the license dwarfs hosting. Picking Standard or Custom moves the total more than picking a host, and staying on an old version costs more than any hosting line in the table.

How to estimate your own budget#

To estimate Odoo pricing for your own project, count internal users, not accounts. Portal users are free, and employees who only file expenses can be Light Users. Then decide whether you need custom modules. If you don't, Odoo Online on Standard is the cheapest Enterprise option in these numbers.

If you do need custom code, compare Odoo.sh with hosting outside Odoo SA on the same basis: Custom license first, then resources. The most reliable way to see what your database actually consumes is to run it for a few days on a test instance.

FAQ#

How much does Odoo cost per user?#

On the euro price list, €24.90 per user per month on Standard and €44.90 on Custom, billed yearly. Monthly billing costs more: €31.10 and €56.90. New users get a discount for the first 12 months. Prices differ by country, so the figure odoo.com shows you may be in another currency. Hosting comes on top except on Odoo Online.

Is Odoo free?#

Two ways. One App Free gives a single app to unlimited users on Odoo Online. Odoo Community is open source with no license fee, but you have to host it yourself or on a platform, and it lacks Enterprise apps such as Studio. Both are free of license costs. Neither is free of hosting or operations costs once you need more than one app.

Does Odoo Enterprise include hosting?#

Only on Odoo Online, which includes hosting and up to 100 GB of storage. Odoo.sh is billed on top of the Custom license, per worker, staging environment and GB. On your own server or a hosting platform, hosting is a separate bill paid to a provider other than Odoo SA.

Is Odoo.sh included in the subscription?#

No. The pricing page states that Odoo.sh hosting costs are not included. You need the Custom plan, then you pay for workers, staging environments and storage. At yearly billing, two workers, one staging environment and 10 GB come to €1,315.20 a year, or $1,579.20 with the dollar unit prices.

To price the hosting line with your own modules and data, start a trial instance on Ofleet with €150 in credit. The console shows consumption per resource and a projection for the month.
